The Senior Life Solutions program addresses the emotional and behavioral health of adults over the age of 60. Through a combination of therapies, education and wellness programs, Senior Life Solutions assists older adults in developing living skills that help them cope with problems that may accompany the aging process. Recognizing the Signs The independence that seniors have relied on all their lives can cause resistance to accepting help in handling the emotional and physical changes they know are taking place. Some seniors are able to adjust to these age-related changes, while others may need help in coming to accept the adjustments they must make. Problems that may indicate a need for referral to Senior Life Solutions include: Depression Anxiety Sleep disturbances Suidical thoughts Social withdrawal Severe memory loss Disorientation Hallucinations Deterioration of daily living skills Feelings of worthlessnessIndividualized Treatment The Senior Life Solutions program is designed to meet the needs of older adults experiencing a variety of problematic behaviors, thoughts and living patterns. The program works to improve emotional stability and increase general functioning, as well as help patients identify, develop and increase the use of effective coping skills by emphasizing the existing strengths of the individual and/or family system. Senior Life Solutions recognizes that each person has unique situations, problems and needs. This is why an individualized treatment plan is developed for each patient. Senior Life Solutions utilizes a holistic approach to treating each patient, offering a variety of therapies and activities including: Psychiatric evaluation Group therapy Individual therapy Family Therapy Medication educational group Dietary consults Psychiatric medication management Discharge planning Spiritual considerationsPhysical illness, medications and psychological stresses of growing older can complicate a healthy outlook on life. Senior Health Solutions provides the patient a broad combination of medical and social therapies to relieve distressing symptoms and maximize quality of life. Caring Professionals Senior Life Solutions' experienced, licesnsed, and credentialed professional staff provide senior patients and their families caring and effective solutions. Our staff of health professionals applies a team approach to treatment. A comprehensive mental and physical assessment, individualized treatment and education plans are designed for each patient. These professionals are trained to deal with the unique concerns of older adults: Psychiatrist Primary Care Physicians Nursing Staff Social Workers Dieticians Physical & Occupational Therapists Recreational TherapistsIf it is determined that our program lacks the appropriate expertise or resources to treat a patient's presenting problem, we will work with the patient and family to find other available resources and services to best meet their needs. How to Get Help Through an initial screening and assessment process, our staff will work with patients to determine the most appropriate treatment for each individual and their family. Admission assessments are free and confidential. Referrals may come from: Self Primary care physician Specialist Family member Friend Church Community Group Any other concerned person Nursing facility Residential care facilityHours of Operation Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch is provided to half-day group participants Patients may qualify for free transportation to the Senior Life Solutions program. Payment for services Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Tri-care and most private insurances are accepted.
