MBH Emergency Medical Services(EMS)

Dedication Services for the new McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital Emergency Medical Services building were held on Wednesday, January 23. The EMS building is located just north of McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital at 3125 Dr Russell Smith Way.

The new 4200 sq. foot building features four drive-through, full size ambulance bays, living quarters and office space for the 12 full time employees and six PRN employees who make up the McCune-Brooks Ambulance Service. Dear says employees are excited about the increased space the building provides including a kitchen area, training room, two full baths with four individual sleep rooms and a dayroom as well as laundry facilities and a large supply room.

Based at McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital, our Ambulance Service was one of the first advanced level providers in southern Missouri and continues to provide the highest level of care available to the citizens of Carthage and Eastern Jasper County.

The MBH EMS serves the Eastern quadrant of Jasper County; over 240 square miles which includes Sarcoxie, Jasper, Avilla, LaRussell and Carthage. The service logs over 3500 runs a year.” Dear also mentioned that, “In addition to their other responsibilities the service supports the MBH ER and EMS Department gives several hundred hours of Community Service to the area.
